Traditionally, Music Artists have relied on advancements and music recording contracts with major labels to fund their art. The problem with that, has traditionally been that the Artists end up owning a small percentage of their art, become creatively controlled-hindering their expression, and get trapped into these agreements for long lasting periods. The label is basically a bank with connections. But if I am connected to some of the best in the world, why give up so much? Just for the money? What if instead of these labels taking so much of the royalties to my music- I invite my family, friends, and fans to share in my success with me. Basically, you would be buying into the ownership of my music. you make an offer, and if it is fair/feasible, your offer will be accepted and you will own a corresponding percentage of the song you invested in. Every quarter you will receive monetary reports regarding the song you invested in- and you will be paid out accordingly.
